A Norfolk community is gearing up for its fifth annual teddy bear festival.

Last year, Great Ellingham raised more than £5,000 for local charities by hosting the popular event which features people-sized bears stuffed with straw that are displayed in villagers' gardens.

Festival chairman, Ann Milner, said they are hoping to have 100 teddies this year, having come close in 2007.

“With so many folk supporting us from all over the country, we hope that this year's festival will bring as much sunshine and laughter into people's lives as it has done in previous years. Certainly, the teddy trail is extremely popular both with young and old,” she said.

The festival committee will be running a teddy workshop on June 21 for villagers who are unsure how to make a bear.
