Cricket club's race night

Hethersett and Tas Valley Cricket Club is holding a fund-raising race evening at its Flordon Headquarters on Saturday.

Tickets are priced at £10, or £5 for Under-16s with Under-5s free and include an all you can eat hog roast.

Tickets are priced at £10, or £5 for Under-16s with Under-5s free and include an all you can eat hog roast. Tickets are available by telephoning club chairman Tony Smith on 07950711208. The event will take place in a marquee on the outfield.

Hethersett and Tas Valley raised over £600 from its annual bank holiday super sixes competition with eight teams taking part. For the first time a ladies team participated. The event was won by Tas Tigers captained by Tony Wenham. They beat Ronnie's Rebels off the last ball of an exciting final.
