Peas, healthy food, rap music and craft sessions have all been lined-up for youngsters at Hethersett Library over the next few weeks as part of a health and well being month.

Norfolk Library Service is celebrating Love your Library Month throughout February when visitors can find out how they can make small changes to their lives. This will also include details about various therapies, improving skills on the internet or learning how to volunteer to work in the local community.

Special events for children in Hethersett kick off on February 7th when 11 to 16 year olds are invited to Wrap 'n' rap from 5.30 to 6.30 p.m.

Tickets for the event are £1.50 and available from the library. The idea is for the youngsters to enjoy eating a wrap whilst writing a rap. There will be prizes for the best raps.

Attention turns to a healthy diet on Saturday 23rd February when a morning of healthy food fun is being held from 10.30 a.m until noon under the title of “Eat Your Peas.” Aimed at children up to the age of eight, the morning will include challenges, quizzes, stories, songs and things to make. Booking is essential on 01603 810188.

On Saturday March 1st from 10.30 a.m to noon, youngsters aged from 8 to 12 will have the chance to make Mother's Day cards. Again places for this need to be booked.
