Wymondham Music Festival is organising three special events in Spooner Row Church.

The building, set in the heart of the village amid leafy trees, makes a perfect setting for gentle music on a Sunday afternoon and the first of the three “Spotlight” events takes place on Sunday, starting at 3:30 pm.

Entitled Jazz in the Spotlight, the concert features the Festival founder's son Chris Dowding on trumpet. He will be bringing some talented musical friends with him when he travels up from London. Since leaving Wymondham Chris has obtained a music degree from Huddersfield, where he studied with Hugh Nankivell. He's now a regular performer and also works on community music projects.

Tickets are £4 on the door. Refreshments will be served. Further details from Barbara Randall on 01953 601939 or the Festival's website at www.wymfestival.org.uk

Details of this and all the many other events in the 2008 Wymondham Music Festival are contained in the free programme. Copies are now available from libraries, shops, pubs and other outlets throughout South Norfolk.
