A special women's world day of prayer service suitable for men, women and children is being held in St Remigius Church, Hethersett, at 2pm on Friday when the preacher will be the Rev Mary Kerslake.

A special women's world day of prayer service suitable for men, women and children is being held in St Remigius Church, Hethersett, at 2pm on Friday when the preacher will be the Rev Mary Kerslake.

The church will be decorated with Easter lilies this year from March 22with members of the public able to buy flowers in memory of loved ones.

There will be a Norfolk twist to a special Easter event in the church on Palm Sunday (March 16) when the evening service at 6.30pm will give an account of the Passion in Norfolk dialect read by Catherine and Sarah Mapes who are members of the Friends of Norfolk Dialect Society. The special text is written by a Methodist minister, The Rev Colin Riches.
