A local Buddhist meditation group is offering a free public talk on Wednesday at Abbey Hall, Church Lane, Wymondham from 7.30-9pm.

Entitled “Introduction to Buddhism” the talk will explain what meditation is, and how it helps people overcome stress and problems in their lives through developing positive attitudes.

Meditation is a very simple and powerful method to improve how we feel. The teacher of the class, Kadam Chris Heyes said “Meditation is the best method to relax, overcome stress and gain inner peace of mind. If our mind is peaceful we are happy, even when life gets difficult, but if our mind is not peaceful we will not be happy no matter how good our surroundings. These classes are open to everyone, whatever their age, background or beliefs.”

Anyone interested in the public talk can just turn up at the Abbet Hall, Wymondham 7.30pm on Wednesday, June 4. For more information about the meditation classes and courses, call the centre on 01953 451937.
