DANCING to the sounds of rock n roll will be among the attractions at Spooner Row Summer Fete.

For the local Jive Club is planning to celebrate its first anniversary by putting on a display at the event on Sunday. The club has been meeting every Friday in the village hall since July 2007, so members felt a demonstration would let villagers and others see what they can do!

While the display, designed by Sandra Boatman of Simply Dance, should attract dance lovers, there are plenty of other activities on offer at the fete. There will be classic and racing vehicles on show, locally produced ice-cream, the ever popular crockery smashing , plus homemade cakes and all the usual games and stalls of a village fete.

It runs from 1pm to 4pm.
