Hethersett and District Horticultural Society will be holding its annual show in Hethersett Village Hall on September 13 from 2pm.This year there will be plenty of opportunities for younger enthusiasts to show their ability in a number of artistic categories.

Hethersett and District Horticultural Society will be holding its annual show in Hethersett Village Hall on September 13 from 2pm.

This year there will be plenty of opportunities for younger enthusiasts to show their ability in a number of artistic categories. These include decorated wellies for seven years and under, drawings of a garden for seven and under, making a monster from fruit and vegetables for ages eight to 11, making any item of jewellery for ages 12 to 14 and designing a dvd cover from any medium for ages 12 to 14. There will also be cake, cooking, photography, roses, small tomatoes and desert apple classes for non members alongside all the usual classes for club members.

In addition there will be a Royal Society of the Protection of Birds stall, a display by the Hethersett Environmental Action Group, and an ironwork display by tradesman Reg Loveday.

Entries for the various categories will be accepted at Hethersett Methodist Church Hall from 7pm to 8pm on Thursday, September 11.
