Amoghasiddhi Buddhist Centre at Attleborough is offering people a chance to learn to relax and meditate.

A free introductory class takes place on Wednesday, September 10 at Cyprus House, in Queens Square, from 7.30-9pm.

A talk entitled Introduction to Buddhism

will explain what meditation is, and how

it helps people to overcome stress and problems in their lives through developing positive attitudes.

Later, the group will offer weekly evening meditation classes throughout the year.

The teacher of the class, Kadam Chris

Heyes, said “Meditation is the best method to relax, overcome stress and gain inner peace of mind.

“If our mind is peaceful we are happy, even when life gets difficult, but if our mind is not peaceful we will not be happy no matter how good our surroundings.

“These classes are open to everyone, whatever their age, background or beliefs.”

Anyone interested in the public talk can just turn up at Amoghasiddhi Centre at 7.30pm on the evening. For more information about the meditation classes and courses, call the centre on 01953 451937.
