THE British Grand Prix and the Wimbledon men's singles final are among the attractions of Wymondham's fun day on Sunday, July 6.

Both will be on big TV screens at the Ketts Park event which also features majorettes, a dance display from Dancing Unleashed, Robin Duhig (of Kett's Rebellion), who will be doing a solo slot and a marching jazz band which will bring its music to the whole site.

Entertainment activities for all the family include bouncy castles, electric go-karts and a miniature steam railway. A wide range of local charity and community groups will also be attending.

Organising committee chairman Paul Swanborough said everyone had been working hard to make it a day for everyone.

“It will have a bigger variety of family entertainment than ever before and whether people like music, dance, puppet shows, bouncy castles, finding out about local organisations or just having a beer in the sun, there will be something for everyone."

“We want to encourage as many local community groups and charities to come along and use the Funday to publicise their activities and raise money for their causes. We have had positive feedback from these groups that the Funday gives them opportunities to reach a wide audience of people and the fundraising provides the groups with valuable funds.”

There will also be some fast and not-so fast motoring heritage on display. A variety of food stalls catering for different tastes will provide refreshment.

The organising committee have also set up a website to provide up to date information for the Funday. It'll be updated regularly between now and the Funday.
