YOUNGSTERS are being invited to step into the intriguing world of mini beasts at Hethersett Library on Thursday, October 30.

The special morning event, which runs from 10.30am until noon, will feature stories, mask making, spinning and other activities with a small creature theme and is aimed at children under the age of seven who must be accompanied by an adult. Places can be booked on 01603 810188.

The library is also organising a number of Saturday computer taster sessions with a Christmas theme in the run up to the festive season.

It kicks off with an Introduction to the Internet session excluding e-mailing on November 1 and this is followed by Christmas Shopping on the Internet on November 15 and Making Christmas Cards using Microsoft Word on November 22.

All sessions take place between 10.30am and midday and those attending should be able to use a keyboard and mouse. Once again places can be booked on 01603 810188.

The latest programme of events follows on from a successful session with local artist Jocelyn Jacobson where youngsters learned about African legend and also a separate day full of pirate stories and activities.
