Garden lovers are in for a treat when 22 gardens around Wymondham will be open for inspection during the Open Gardens Weekend on 31st May and 1st June. The event is held every two years and raises funds for East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) and Wymondham Heritage Museum.
In describing the weekend one of the organisers, Gill Thorburn, said "People, even if they are not gardeners, do love to have the opportunity to look behind the garden gate and explore the hidden delights of other people's gardens".
Garden expert Barry Gayton from BBC Radio Suffolk and BBC Radio Cambridgeshire will be on hand each day to answer visitors' gardening questions.
The gardens will be open each day from 12 noon until 6pm and admission is by programme which can be purchased from the EACH Charity Shop in Wymondham Market Place, the Wymondham Heritage Museum, Wymondham Garden Centre or from any of the participating gardens - look for the yellow balloons. The programmes are £5 each and are valid for both days and permit access to all 22 gardens.
