Hethersett and Wymondham libraries will be marking the National Year of Reading with a celebration of fairy tales. Stories of princesses, giants, dragons and witches have been handed down through the generations and families are being invited to come to the libraries to share their favourites.

Stories of princesses, giants, dragons and witches have been handed down through the generations and families are being invited to come to the libraries to share their favourites.
Children will have the opportunity to make books, puppets, masks and castles as well as to vote for their favourite fairy tale. Families are also invited to enter a competition to write and illustrate their very own family fairy story.
The events, which are suitable for under 8s, take place at Hethersett Library. Telephone 01603 810188 on Tuesday, May 27 from 2-3.30pm and at Wymondham Library Tel: 01953 603319 on Wednesday 28th May from 2-3.30pm. Anyone interested in taking part should contact the libraries to book places.
