EASTERN Angles Theatre Company takes its new production, Cuckoo Teapot, on the road until May10 with stops in the Mercury circulation area.

The Ipswich-based Theatre Company is putting its financial worries behind it and embarking on a spring tour, taking in more than 50 venues across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. It will call at Wymondham, Eye, Wingfield and Harleston.

Cuckoo Teapot is written by Norwich-educated writer Kate Griffin and is a period drama set in the early 1900s.

Focusing on a young Norfolk lad named Joseph, the play follows the teenager as he travels to Burton-on-Trent in search of his family history.

Directed by Eastern Angles founder, Ivan Cutting, this production is full of history, humour and heart-tugging drama and uses atmospheric music, simple staging and a close-knit cast of five actors to bring the Cuckoo Teapot story to life.
