ACTOR Tom Courtenay has sent Wymondham's Regal Experience Group good wishes for the screening of the classic film, Billy Liar, this weekend.
The star of the film, commenting on what was one of the funniest New Wave movies made in the 60s, writes: “How nice you are showing a film I made when I was young!

To complement the other movie being screened, Welcome to Britain, made in 1943, there
will be a small exhibition about the American servicemen based around Wymondham in the second world war.
The star prize in the raffle
will be a copy of Roger Moore's new autobiography, My Word Is My Bond, signed by the star himself.
The show takes place at Wymondham Ex-Services' Club - the old Regal Cinema - at 2.30pm on Sunday. Tickets are available from Maureen Dodman on 01953 605593 or Michael Armstrong on 01953 603246, and at Wymondham Heritage Museum. Prices are £4.50, or £3.50 concessions.
