ALADDIN, a pantomime written by Norman Robbins, will be performed by Ashwren Players at Wreningham Village Hall next week.
The show has it all: a magic ring, a magic lantern, a baddie, a village idiot and a poor boy who finds riches and marries the beautiful princess.
Costumes, organised by wardrobe mistress Jayne McDaid, will be colourful and Oriental to complement a set designed by Andrew Griib.
The funny patter between Alan Gee
as Widow Twankey and Andrew
Gibbons as Wishee Washee should
bring the house down with laughter,
while the Players' troupe of young dancers will perform under ultraviolet lighting.
All the usual ingredients of a pantomime come together in a production directed by Catherine Griib and Val Keel, along with some surprises.
There are performances from Thursday to Saturday at 7.30pm, plus a matinee on the Saturday at 2pm.
Tickets are £5, with concessions and children's prices available.
To reserve your seats call 01508 489460 or 01508 488123.
