Amateur authors in and around Wymondham will have an opportunity to promote their books at a special event being arranged in the town to celebrate St George's Day (April 23).
Wymondham has gained a reputation for its efforts to highlight England's patron saint and local booksellers, The Book Fountain, are sponsoring the event, which will be a showcase for the literary talent in the town.
Robert Smith runs The Book Fountain in Wharton's Court, Wymondham, with his wife Wendy. He said: “We wanted to support a community activity on St George's Day and we thought that this would be a good way to do it”.
Local book writers will be able to talk about their creations and will have copies available for signing. There will be free admission for members of the public and light refreshments will be served.
The event will take place at 7.30pm in the Abbey Hall, Church Street, Wymondham on Wednesday, April 23.
Any local author who would like to take part can take a copy of their book into The Book Fountain or contact Mr Smith on 01953 603663.
