Eighty youngsters, some of whom have never played before, took part in the fifth annual Hethersett and Tas Valley Schools' kwik cricket festival.
Pupils from primary schools at Aslacton, Newton Flotman, Poringland, Preston (Tasburgh), Saxlingham Nethergate and Shelton with Hardwick were involved.
The youngsters were randomly mixed up to create eight teams with 10 players in each. Each team had different coloured T shirts sponsored by South Norfolk Council and Hethersett and the Meltons Sports Association, and an enjoyable tournament took place.
The day was organised by Hethersett and Tas Valley Cricket Club's youth team coach Sara Worley and club members from Long Stratton High School acted as umpires and scorers. Staff from the various schools acted as team managers.
The prizes were presented by David Bills, South Norfolk and Norfolk county councillor for Hethersett.
