It's been another good couple of weeks for Wymondham Bowls Club as they made it to the final of the Breckland five pairs competition against stubborn opponents Watton with a 45-42 win.

Steve Phillips and Pat Saunders were the pair that did the damage with a 14-4 win against Pam and Terry Crockett.

Other pairs results were M Fisher and B Saunders 8-7, M Barker and P King 9-13, S Archer and M Linsdell 6-9 and S Foster and D Phillips 8-9. They will now play a repeat of last season's final against Connaught A where they will be looking for revenge.

The winning feeling continues in the Breckland league with another two crushing home wins, the first was against league newcomer's and struggler's Hingham B where they blitzed apart the opposition with a 10-0 (137-27) win.

Results: M Barker, M Linsdell and B Saunders 32-6, M Fisher, P King and C Mann 37-8, E Barker, P Saunders and S Phillips 37-6 and S Archer, S Foster and D Phillips 31-7.

Very strong performances from all triples who completely outplayed their opponents. Their next home game was a similar story where they also crushed Carleton Rode 10-0 (103-33). Usually strong opponents but were somewhat blown apart by Wymondham's home form which was again very strong.

Results: E Barker, J Sparham and C Mann 20-9, P Saunders, P King and S Phillips 33-6, M Barker, M Linsdell and B Saunders 22-14 and M Fisher, S Foster and D Phillips 28-4. Although Wymondham are sitting pretty in the league they still have to go to the three clubs who are around them which will decide the title race.
