Wymondham runners prepare for big day

Norfolk’s longest road running race is fast approaching.
It takes place on March 4, starting at 10am from the Market Cross in Wymondham. Runners of all abilities use the race as preparation for a spring marathon, and particularly for the London Marathon, which takes place in April.
Once the race has started runners will complete a small loop through town and out into the countryside through Lady Lane. Runners then complete two laps, passing through High Oak, Deopham and Morley, providing runners with a challenging and undulating course along with some great views of the local countryside before heading back to the finish in Lady Lane.
Runners will complete the race in varying times with the winner finishing in under two hours and those bringing up the rear completing the race in about four hours. The race has a friendly atmosphere and is a great way to cover 20 miles with some good company rather than training on your own for a spring marathon.
The race organisers would also like to thank road users and residents in advance for their support and patience on the day ensuring that the race is enjoyable for all and continues to causes minimal disruption for those not directly involved.
Entries for the race still open simply follow the links on the Wymondham AC website to enter and to find out more about the race. Including a map of the race route and competitors information.
