Wymondham notched up their second consecutive away win of the season - but they were made to work hard for their 11-0 success by near-neighbours Crusaders.
The victory moves the Tuttles Lane team out of the relegation zone once again but only on points difference and the team will need to do this all over again next weekend against leaders Colchester.
The hosts' dogged defence kept the result in balance, with Wymondham unable to cross the line until inside the final quarter.
Had Crusaders' usually reliable kicker Paul Robinson not missed two kickable penalties it could have been a much closer result. After absorbing 15 minutes of pressure Crusaders mounted their own attack, winning a penalty 35 metres out, but Robinson's kick drifted wide.
With this brief foray into the Wymondham half over, the visitors once again went on the offensive, resulting in a fine drop goal by Jon Loades and then, two minutes later, a penalty by Pat Reed.
But despite all of their pressure Wymondham failed to breach the Crusaders' defence, leaving them with a precarious half-time lead.

Two minutes into the second half Robinson once again had the chance to cut the deficit but his 45m kick was hooked wide. Continuing to put Crusaders under pressure, Reed failed to give Wymondham a two-score cushion when he missed two penalties and with the game moving into the final quarter it was balanced on a knife-edge.
With 10 minutes left it was Wymondham who finally scored the game's only try. Josh Cousens snapped up a loose kick and went on a rampaging run, releasing Ian Harris down the right flank, and some slick hands saw Loades squeeze over in the corner to give Wymondham an eleven point lead.
It was now Wymondham's turn to defend solidly but the red and black held firm.
