Following their opening day defeat, Wymondham bounced back with an emphatic six-try victory over Dagenham, stretching their home winning streak to 18.

The first try arrived following some slick handling from Alex Brugger and Tom Coller, with the final pass going to Andy Nelson who smashed his way through. Then Dave Pritchard's huge kick downfield was followed up aggressively by Jack Peacock for Rodney Arbon to notch an opportunistic try. Wymondham made it 17-0 at the break when Lee Summers crashed through and released speedster Will Mitchell to score.

Jack Peacock, playing his final game before going to university, grabbed his first and only conversion. Lock Gary Knowlden reduced the arrears after the break with a converted try but the hosts re-grouped and Alex Brugger's pace was too much for the defence, with Pat Reed notching the conversion. David Clover, 17 (pictured), then saw Summers charging through and he provided a simple score for the prop before sprinting 40 metres for a deserved debut try of his own. Final score: 24-7.

WYMONDHAM'S second XV also had an emphatic Norfolk Division One Merit Table victory over Wisbech, scoring eight tries in a 55-5 demolition. Tries: Matt Clare (2), Ross Crook (2), Luke Seaman (2), Josh Cousens and Mark Unstead.
