FOLLOWING last season's record-breaking performance Wymondham are looking to build on this success as they begin preparations for their return to the London League.

Pre-season training begins tonight (Thurs) at 7.15pm and an exciting new coaching team, directed by director of rugby, Andy Lyle, will be fully unveiled in readiness for the assault on London Four with the aim of winning promotion again.

The first league fixture on September 13 will be an away trip to Upminster followed by a home game against newly-promoted Dagenham.

The league programme will be preceded by friendlies against Shelford at home on August 30 followed by a trip to Holt the following week.

In October Wymondham will make an appearance in the EDF National Trophy and become one of the few clubs in England to qualify for this prestigious competition whilst playing in level nine.

Wymondham have thrown down a challenge to other clubs in the UK.

In last month's issue of the RFU's Touchline they asked if any other junior amateur clubs could claim a better points difference than they achieved last season when as Eastern Counties One champions they had 20 wins in 20 matches and a points difference of 770 (for 855, against 85).
