A solid run by Terry Epps placed him second in M55 in 1-07:50. Mike Smith (H), who recently moved up an age group, made the most of his advantage to win the M70 category. His time of 1-21:05 is also an all-time M70 club record, beating the record held by club-mate Rodney Freeburn.

Anne Martin walked off with first prize in the W65 age band. With her time of 1-33:52 she set an all-time W75 club record, improving her own record by over four minutes.

The mother and daughter team of Cindy and Wendy Burgess did well in their first 10-miler, finishing in 1-40:34 and 1-33:52 respectively.

“With so many members running personal best times this is again a fantastic outcome for the club,” said chairman Ian Sturgess. “Credit must not only go to the runners but also to the club coaches for their dedication and commitment.”
