Wymondham have got two tough away games this week - Corton, two places above them in Anglian Combination Division One, on Saturday then on Tuesday it's Norwich St Johns (played at Anglian Windows SSC).

Scole 0, Wymondham Town 4

ONTUESDAY, against the strong wind, Town were under pressure from the long ball being employed by Scole. Cracknell and Webb dealt with this superbly.

As the half continued, the Rooks started to impose themselves on the game, with the ball to Ramsbottom being particularly fruitful.

The all-important first goal came from an excellent Mitchell ball to Rackham who calmly slotted home.

McCloy skipped past a couple of players and withheld some strong challenges to slot home.

Scole showed some fighting spirit at the start of the second half but after weathering this, Town got control. The important third goal came and it was made down the left. Williamson floated a ball into the channel which the hard-working Speller chased down. He robbed the defender and, from a seemingly impossible angle, beat the keeper with a powerful shot.

To cap another fine display Rackham got his second. Williamson combined with Cracknell and drilled in a cross from which Rackham scored at the second attempt.

Town played out the remaining nine minutes with relative ease.

MoM: Mitchell for calm passing and the protection he provided.

Stalham 0, Wymondham 2

WYMONDHAM made the trip to Stalham on Saturday which has been a notoriously bad hunting ground over the years - but they returned with all the points.

Priest floated in a perfect cross from the left which Cracknell volleyed in from an angle, a superb finish. The Stalham left-back was unlucky his shot hit the bar.

McCloy picked the ball up 30 yards out and run towards goal with his well placed shot going into the corner. MoM: Williamson who played well defensively and combined well with Speller.
