AT the 2008 County Championships held at Thetford over the last two weekends, Norwich Swan Swimming Club enjoyed a generally high level of personal success.
Among the most notable of the club's successes were Sophie Foster (first in 50m breaststroke 11 year age group), Daryn Park (second in 50m breaststroke, third in 50m butterfly 11 year age group), and Sara Greenwood (second in 50m butterfly open class).
There were many other top places gained by the squad, but perhaps of greater significance for the club was the very high number of personal best times achieved.
From 120 swims no less then 83 were pbs, a success rate of 69 percent, which was a big improvement compared to the 2007 results.
Among the top scorers among the pbs were Daryn Park (9), Lily Jones (9), Cloudy Majtenyi-Hill (8), Charlie Grisley (7) and Emma Starling (5).
For his overall successes Daryn was awarded the Swan Swimmer of the Championship.
