DEREHAM and Wymondham Kuk Sool Won traditional Korean martial art schools are proud to announce the success and promotion of two of their students recently in Birmingham on Saturday, November 29.

Kirsty Winter, one of the adult instructors (pictured left) has been successful in her promotion to 2nd Dan black belt, and Victoria Green a cadet at Kuk Sool (pictured on the right) has gained her 1st Dan black belt.

The two black belts have had to undertake a minimum of between six and eight testings for over a year. Each testing which has to be passed in front of Korean or UK Masters can last about four hours.

The testings are designed to put them through their paces and under pressure at which they are expected to show their skills in the martial arts and demonstrate a black belt level of proficiency.

This is another success for the Wymondham and Dereham club which recently held the national black belt seminar at its Dereham school in November in recognition of the success it has achieved over the years.

If anyone would like to try something interesting and different like Kuk Sool then you can book a free beginners' night by calling the head instructor Chris Winter on 01603 881376 or for further information about the two schools look at www.kuksoolwon-dereham.co.uk.
