Mulbarton player Nick Bradley-Watson (Esporta) and Acle's Olivia Nicholls (Bannatyne's) and have been awarded the Brian Blincoe Junior Tennis Achievement award.
It is for the boy and girl who have made the most significant move in the national tennis rankings between March and September. Caroline Blincoe presented the trophies.
Nick is currently ranked 33 in the country for 16/u having previously reached an all-time high of 23 in the autumn. Olivia ranks 20 in the country for 14/u.
Both players have recorded some excellent tournament wins over the period, Olivia recently winning an Ariel Indoor Main Draw beating Jennifer Jonah from Essex, ranked 23, as well as all her matches playing for Norfolk in the 16-Counties Championship at both the 14/u and 18/u age group levels.
Last weekend Nick reached the quarter-final of an Ariel Indoor Series beating fellow Tennis East player Sam Fleck before losing an incredibly hard-fought match 7-6, 6-4 to full-time academy player, Ollie Golding from Surrey, ranked seven in the country.
Olivia and Nick are thrilled to receive this award, having both been coached by Brian from an early age.
