Connaught Bowls Club, Attleborough, regained their own Invitation Shield when beating Diss in the final by 65 shots to 45. Connaught also won prize money of £150 and Diss won £75 as runners-up.

In individual matches, Bill Adcock's rink lost 16-17 to E Rawsthorne and Jim Ross's beat M Howard 20-18 in two close contests. In the third match Sheila Bragg skipped Gwen Wesley, George Sheridan and Alan Marshall to a conclusive 29-10 win against L Bull.
Bradenham (£50 prize) beat Shield holders, Ashill (£25 prize), in the third and fourth place play-off.

In the Ashill Mixed Triples League, Division One, Connaught B lost 35-73 and 0-8 at home to Ashill. In Division Two Connaught D lost 35-68 and 0-8 at Thetford B.
