Wymondham 3, Sole Bay 2
WYMONDHAM Town took on bottom side Sole Bay, started off well and scored inside 10 minutes. Fox made an excellent crossfield pass to Ramsbottom. He then chested it down and slotted it past the advancing keeper.
Town continued to press and at times played some good football with a greater emphasis on going through the full-backs of Hutt and Page. Town extended their lead when goalscorer Ramsbottom turned provider and put McCloy through. He chipped it around the advancing keeper and Town were now in a commanding position.
They could have scored more when Cracknell and Priest were both denied by the visiting keeper and McCloy headed over from a Rackham corner. From another corner from Priest Cracknell junior headed across the box and the ball was drilled home by Rackham.
Changes were made with Cracknell, Parry and Ramsbottom coming off and were replaced by Williamson, Butler and Plumstead. Town rather lost momentum and put in a nothing performance against a battling Bay who scored two goals in the last five minutes to give the final score a much closer feel.
