The Eastern Counties Division One champions ensured they went through the campaign with their 100 pc record intact as they ran in 10 tries against Thurston to record their 20th straight win of the campaignm 62-3.

The early stages of the match were evenly contested, with the visitors giving a good account of themselves. But once Richie Howlett touched down after Lee Summers was stopped just short of the line, there was only ever going to be one winner.

Howlett went on to complete a hat-trick of tries, with the feat being matched by Jack Peacock.

Alex Brugger also touched down following a strike against the head by Micky Byrne, playing his final game for the club, while Will Mitchell, Johnny Wyatt and Sokia himself also touched down. Peacock converted six of the 10 tries.

And a fund-raising effort from their Fijian star Pena Sokia was also a huge success, with the player going through with his pledge to have his dreadlocks cut off to raise money for a new water treatment system to help his village back home.
