Wanderers bounced back from disappointment in the Cup last week with a fairly convincing 4-1 victory against a young Fakenham Reserves side.

A brace from Mark Appleton and a net finish from Ian Babb gave us a three goal cushion after 35 minutes, only for Fakenham to pull one back on the stroke of half time.

Jake Clifford made a wonder save in the second half to thwart any thoughts the visitors might have had about mounting a comeback and Matt Dye sealed the win in the 80th minute, sidefooting home from 10 yards.

The win lifts Wanderers to fourth in Anglian Combination Division Four with games in hand over the teams above. With 13 games remaining the promotion charge is under way. Their next game is away to Mattishall Reserves this Saturday at 2pm.
