Old Buckenham's poor form at Cromer continued as they went down by 10 wickets.

On a drying pitch, Cromer outplayed Buckenham in all departments. Their seamers were much more effective in difficult early match conditions. Bucks lost Fudge for a duck and Sri Lankan Withange run out for eight.

Ben Player (15) and Terry Perry (70) added 56 for the third wicket before Player was caught at mid-off.

At 100 for 4 off 34 overs, Bucks needed to up the scoring and they did that with Perry and Tom Banham who hit 'a run a ball' 37. The lower order came and went quickly adding runs all the time as Richard Charlywood bowled well, picking up four cheap wickets.

Chasing 190 for victory, Cromer were off to a flyer. Rayno Ardense was destructive as Cromer raced to 35 off the first five overs. The introduction of spin slowed things down a touch but Rayno's power and an ever-confident Tom Davies continued to press on as Bucks swapped the bowling around regularly. They completed their task in just the 37th over, Ardense finishing on 86 and Davies finishing on 88 with a late flurry of boundaries.

Fingers crossed for this week at home to Wanderers.

Old Bucks hosted Halvergate on a sunny afternoon at Attleborough Rec.

Batting first Bucks made a slow start loosing Joe Perry early before Ian Pape and Simon Newberry repaired the damage and gradually got on top.

Newberry was caught for 24 then Chris Palmer and Ian Pape progressed the score to 79 from 29 overs before Pape was out for 36.

Alex Hainsby, 15, joined Palmer and the pair set about upping the scoring rate. They added 83 runs in 13 overs before Palmer was stumped for 54. As the Bucks innings closed on 177, Hainsby was 36 not out, having hit the last ball of the Bucks innings for his first boundary six in senior cricket.

The Halvergate innings got off to a bad start with Paul Fitt bowling Utting and Ian Sinclair did the same to Key.

L Hannant and P Ryan together and they added 83 together with Ryan being very severe on Bucks spinner Mike Banham. Josh Downes, 15, making his debut in senior cricket bowled his five-over spell for 22 runs and was unlucky not to take a wicket. Palmer bowled Ryan for 35, and took an excellent return catch offered by Hannant (68).

At this point Halvergate required 62 from 10 overs. N Johnson scored 51 to win the game for Halvergate with two overs to spare.
