Good batting by David Bunn and Henry Wanchoo and a fine all-round bowling and fielding performance enabled Great Melton B to beat Norwich and Coltishall and clinch the Division Six title.
It means the pressure is off as Melton B go into their final game at Hales.
Melton have stuttered a bit in the last few weeks and, having lost the toss and been invited to bat, they looked in trouble again at 85-6.
James Dorling (22) and Jon Moxon (24) had both got in but fell just as they seemed to be set for big scores and it was left to the experienced Bunn and Wanchoo to set about repairing the damage.
The score went along slowly to start with but 62 runs came off the last eight overs as Melton eventually reached a respectable 173-7.
Their partnership was worth 79 and, although Wanchoo was bowled in the final over for 40, Bunn remained unbeaten on 53.

Jake Mardell and Wanchoo then conceded only 13 runs in the first 11 overs to keep the pressure on the Wanderers' batsmen and leg-spinner George Bunn conceded just 18 runs in his 12 overs as the visitors crawled to 41-2 off 23 overs at drinks.
Despite an injured shoulder restricting his bowling Bunn senior then took 3-14 in a five-over spell and Josh Wilson also weighed in with three wickets as Melton kept their strangehold on the game.
Robert Eagleton hit a brave 26 but Wanderers ended on 100-8 and Melton skipper Steve Phoenix could crack open the champagne.
