Korean Kuk Sool Won club, based at Wymondham Leisure Centre and Dereham, had success in the UK championships in Birmingham.

The four members (pictured from left): Daniel Eden (red belt, Daniel Jones (black belt 1st dan), Rebekah Bainbridge (black belt 2nd dan), and Chris REA (red belt) all won various medals in a highly-contested competition in their respective categories with over 400 competitors.

Between them they won nine medals from gold to bronze in activities including sparring, self-defence, weapons, forms and techniques. Rebekah won four medals, including three silvers, in her class.

The club is inviting anyone who has an interest in martial arts or just keep fit and self-defence to attend a free beginners' lesson.

The club is expanding rapidly due to its variety and popularity. It is a mixture of self-defence, sparring, weapons, meditation, hand, kicking, falling techniques and board breaking. Just go along on a Friday evening at 7pm for under 15s and 8pm for over 15s.
