Kirton races to fine third place
FIVE pupils from The New Eccles Hall School took part in the Independent Schools' Association National Cross- Country Championships which were held at Princethorpe College Warwickshire.
FIVE pupils from The New Eccles Hall School took part in the Independent Schools' Association National Cross- Country Championships which were held at Princethorpe College Warwickshire.
Having qualified at the regional finals held at Eccles Hall on February 3, in the U18 race Joe Kirton was third, Matthew Kirby 13th and Alex Fryer 15th. Robert Spooner was unable to finish.
Brandon Mason came 46th in the U16 race.
There were runners from all eight regions of the United Kingdom with ten runners from each region.
Chris Brown, Head of Games, said: 'This result for Joseph Kirton was excellent and is just reward for his dedication and training.'
