A Hethersett Ladies footballer has been held up as a role model for her fellow students.

Jodie Allard, who has played for Norfolk Ladies on a number of occasions, was presented to England soccer legend and FA Director for Football Development Sir Trevor Brooking at a special awards event at Caister High School.

Jodie Allard, who has played for Norfolk Ladies on a number of occasions, was presented to England soccer legend and FA Director for Football Development Sir Trevor Brooking at a special awards event at Caister High School.

Jodie was invited back to the school after gaining three grade As at A level and winning a place at Loughborough University on the sports science course. Jodie was instrumental in persuading the PE staff to introduce girls' football in 2002. She was a member of the Hethersett side that was second in the Eastern Region Women's League Premier Division and won the League Cup.
