HETHERSETT Athletic are still in the hunt for four trophies as the football season reaches its climax.

The men's Saturday and ladies first teams have both reached cup finals and the ladies Hearts and U17 girls teams are odds on to win their respective leagues.

The men's Saturday team will play Castle Acre Swifts in the final of the Crown Fire League Pease League Cup at Dereham FC on Wednesday (kick off 7.30pm). The ladies will be bidding for an Eastern Region Women's League Cup hat-trick of wins when they take on Billericay in the final which is likely to be on May 2.

The ladies Hearts team need four points from their final two matches to win the Norfolk Women's League Division Two and the girls U17s need just two points from their last two games to win the Norfolk and Suffolk Girls U17s League.

The girls U14s are virtually certain of finishing runners-up in the Norfolk Girls U14s League.

Club chairman Peter Steward said: 'It's been another highly successful season for the club and there will be plenty of interest right up to the end of the season.

'There are also a number of exciting developments at the club which we hope to give further details of in the near future.'

This week the ladies first team are home to Chelmsford at Easton College (2pm) and the Ladies Hearts are home to Waveney also at Easton College.
