The next meeting of Hethersett and the Meltons Sports Association will be held in Park Farm Hotel on February 27 at 7.30pm.

The meeting will discuss future plans for improving sports facilities and setting up new groups for fitness and well being.

'These are exciting times in Hethersett and the Meltons with Hethersett being named Norfolk Sports Village of the Year and Norfolk Sports Champion of Champions at the end of last year and groups being set-up to look into the best use of open spaces and how to improve personal fitness and well being,' said sports association chair Peter Steward, adding that the villages' efforts had already attracted the attention of Prime Minister David Cameron

'We want to turn Hethersett and the Meltons into the ultimate well being villages and a shining example for not only Norfolk and East Anglia, but also the rest of the country.

'The meeting will look at existing facilities, how we can improve fitness and well being and will also celebrate success over the past six months and look to a very busy 2012 with so many community groups working together. The sports association is open to anybody with an interest in sport, leisure, health, well being and the environment,' Peter Steward added.
