Hawks in third Down Under
HETHERSETT Hawks/Swinton & Co gave a good account of themselves in the opening round of the World Club Championships in Australia. The team - Dave Martin, Ben Collins, Jazz Abbott and Tiffany Collins scored 32 to finish in third place behind Australian sides Salisbury (49) and Findon (33) but ahead of Leicester (27).
HETHERSETT Hawks/Swinton & Co gave a good account of themselves in the opening round of the World Club Championships in Australia. The team - Dave Martin, Ben Collins, Jazz Abbott and Tiffany Collins scored 32 to finish in third place behind Australian sides Salisbury (49) and Findon (33) but ahead of Leicester (27). The Hawks now face an elimination round.
Jazz Abbott has raced in all three GB Junior tests against Australia scoring seven, six and eight points as the side has been well beaten by Australia, who lead 3-0 in the five-match series.
Ben Collins was drafted into the side for the third test and scored eight points. Hethersett-based Norwich rider Leigh Cossey made his senior GB debut in third test.
