Even at this early stage of the season a fixture crisis looms.
A father and son duo did get some action on Sunday at the first South-East Grand Prix at Somersham. Age groups were mixed for heats and Daniel Chambers scored 13 and his father David, making his racing debut, scored seven. Both qualified for A finals with Daniel getting the series off to a great start by winning the Under-16s while David took second place in the Veterans.
It is hoped the weather will improve for a busy weekend ahead. On Saturday the whole junior squad will be at Kesgrave for the first regional round of the Wosskow Brown British Youth and Junior League while on Sunday the A and B teams face the long trip to Canning Town to race East London in the South-East Leagues.
