OLD Buckenham Ladies started the match against Dereham II feeling the underdog as they had four key players missing and had been told that their opponents had some first team players.

But they showed just how well they can play when the pressure is on, winning 8-1.

The first goal came from Sarah Foulger, taking a little while for Buckenham to find the back of the goal.

Once Foulger had scored Buckenham settled with two more goals coming in the first half from Helen Larwood and Nicki Day. Old Buckenham were brimming and ready to start the second half but also awaiting a strong comeback.

This didn't happen as Old Buckenham continued the solid play with goals again from Foulger, Helen Larwood who stole the goal from Julie Potter, who just didn't give the ball enough power.

Fran Halstead scored the sixth to show that Buckenham were well on their way. Nicki Day rose again against the Dereham defence to bag another goal.

Old Buckenham began to fade and with this allowed Dereham to slip a goal back but Buckenham weren't happy with this and skipper Foulger produced a superb goal, making this her hat-trick.

Thanks go to Sarah Wood, Susan Lansdell who offered fresh legs and Karen Pigg and Dawn Cursons for being standbys for injuries. PoM: Helen Larwood.

Old Buckenham II drew 2-2 with Breckland, who scored on an early break but Buckenham didn't let this affect their game and began to attack. After a through- ball, Lizz Shaw dummied the keeper and then netted, then Buckenham defended well. In the second half Breckland scored from a short corner.

Old Buckenham scored with PoM Susan Lansdell feeding a through-ball for Anna Townshend to finish off.
