Danielle Shorten, aged 17, from Wymondham has been selected to water ski for Great Britain at the Junior World Water Ski Championships in Peru from January 7-11.

Danielle Shorten, aged 17, from Wymondham has been selected to water ski for Great Britain at the Junior World Water Ski Championships in Peru from January 7-11.

There will be three other junior skiers with her. British Water Ski will be taking the team away on December 16 to train in Florida until January 3, missing Christmas and New Year in England, and then to fly to Peru for four days training before the competition starts. Danielle will return to England on January 13.

Before leaving for USA Danielle along with her sister Kelly aged 19 will be attending the British Water Ski Ball to collect the medals and trophies they have won from the competitions this year.

Danielle and Kelly will be training at the weekends in Tallington, near Peterborough as well as skiing at Norwich Water Ski Club through the winter.
