Hethersett Hawks had four of their older riders in action at the first round of the South East Grand Prix series at Ipswich, but they had very little opposition.
Although there were 40 riders present on the day, only eight were aged 13 and over as Easter Sunday racing probably had other competition.
Oliver Buxton had a couple of good heats but suffered two exclusions for movement at the start. He put up a spirited fight in the U16 final, but finished second. Phil Adams was beaten only once in the heats, but he and Carly Grimes made it a 1-2 in the senior final while Mel Perkins was fourth in the Veterans category.
