Old Buckenham will be aiming to pick themselves up from defeat by Downham Market when they visit Swardeston this weekend in what now seems another must-win game.

In a reduced over game of just 38 overs, Downham Market chased down Bucks' total of 156 for 7 in just 26 overs, racing to victory with 12 overs to spare.

Buckenham were simply outclassed by a fearless team who sit pretty at the top of the table.

At the other end of the division, Buckenham's plight didn't improve as results went against them - making the next few games crucial if they are going to survive the drop.

Buckenham's openers started well, scoring at three an over until Fudge fell for 24 with the score on 62. Ranabir Nath's dismal form continued, being trapped in front for just three by Adam Todd.

The introduction of Downham's overseas Phangiso proved crucial, as he took 4-31 in 10 overs of left-arm spin. This included the wickets of both Player (18) and Perry (30) and it was left to some late hitting by Andy Austin, Tom Banham and Jimmy Heaney to score 68 from the last 10 overs.

In reply, Downham tried to force the pace, but with Ben Mann bowling well and Rob Austin having removed Peter Barnard the game was evenly poised at 44 for 1 after 10 overs.

Unfortunately, the depth in the change bowling made the difference, as Phangiso eased Downham to victory, being out just 20 runs short with over a run a ball (68). Alex Stuart gave good support with 48 and Ben Mann got 2-49.
