AT the end of March, a team of players from Old Buckenham Cricket Club are attempting the Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge under the guidance of club chairman John Lund.
The Three Peak walk is a very demanding but rewarding walk of 24.5 miles taking over 5,000ft of climb and the walk must be completed within 12 hours.
Money will be raised through sponsorship and will be split between club funds and The Linda Fudge Cancer Trust.
Opening batsman Jon Fudge lost his mother to cancer in January 2005. Subsequently a trust was set up by her husband and family in her name and raises money for radiography equipment and family support for cancer patients at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.
If you would like to sponsor the team, they would be delighted to hear from you. Jon Fudge can be contacted on 07595 942806, Rob Austin on 07730 540977 and John Lund on 01379 644478.
