Hethersett and Tas Valley are taking up where they left off last season in Division Two of the Norfolk Alliance.

A 21-point haul from their visit to Downham A sees them climb into second place after their first match of the season against Saham Toney was rained off.

Valley beat Downham by two wickets in a relatively low scoring match, reaching 171-8 in reply to the home side’s 170-7.

Hethersett are also through to the next round of the Carter Cup after a comfortable five-wicket victory at Mundford.

Valley’s second string went down to Bungay by 86 runs in the Norfolk Alliance Division Four. They were all out for 78 in reply to Bungay’s 164.
