Steven Guy, captain of Hingham Pirates Cricket Club, hit the first 100 of his career against Bunwell A in Kevin Grimmer Division Four on Sunday.

His 101 was based on good stroke play and picking the bad balls to hit.

This performance is the highlight of a good couple of weeks for Steven, who despite carrying a thumb and shin injury, returned figures of seven for 31 against Old Buckenham B in Division Eight of the Norfolk League and also top-scored in the reply with 77 last Saturday.

He followed that up on Sunday with 81 against Great Ellingham A and one for five off six overs. He is truly leading by example.
