ATTLEBOROUGH changed formation to compete with Hellesdon in the third round of the Norfolk Junior Cup and success followed - with a 3-2 win.

Following the previous weekend’s battle with Hellesdon that resulted in a 1-1 draw, Boro expected the same in the replay. Dan Witman was introduced down the right to instil an attacking ethos after a number of good performances in the Reserves.

This change paid off after 20 minutes with a direct run from Dan Witman resulting in a finely-taken goal. Hellesdon replied just after making it one apiece.

Mihail Propustin then attacked from centre midfield taking the ball around the keeper and slotting home for 2-1.

Daniel Lloyd made a number of fine saves to keep Boro in the driving seat.

The game then remained a battle until 15 minutes to go. Roy Bevis came off the bench and he fired home from close range after some good wing play from Chris Holmes and a fine header back across goal from Mihail. Hellesdon then once again pulled a goal back to make the remaining minutes heart- stopping for the Boro management team.

Mihail headed home five minutes from time to make the score 3-2.

This was a well- fought match and once again demonstrated the potential Boro have this season in all areas of the pitch.

Boro next visit Hempnall Reserves.
