CONNAUGHT Bowls Club, Attleborough, had a good week with two away wins for the A-team in the Breckland League and a big win at home in the Tens League.

CONNAUGHT Bowls Club, Attleborough, had a good week with two away wins for the A-team in the Breckland League and a big win at home in the Tens League.

In the Breckland League Connaught A won by 70-57 and 7-3 in a hard-fought match at Banham. Results (skips' names): L Fallows 26, T Blackburn 12; R Wells 13, J Delaney 13; S Bragg 20, J Williamson 14; R Oatway 11, B Francis 18. Lee Fallows, Ollie Allen and Bill Adcock played well in a win securing two points for overall shots.

Both the Ray Wells and Sheila Bragg triples had to recover from sizeable early deficits to draw and win respectively.

Also in the Breckland League Connaught A followed up with victory at Wayland by 72-45 and 10-0. L Fallows 13-12, S Bragg 15-13, R Wells 19-9, R Oatway 25-11. The Lee Fallows and Sheila Bragg triples just held off Wayland comebacks to achieve narrow wins.

The Ray Wells triple were 7-8 down after nine ends and then dominated the match. Bob Oatway, Peter Hambling and Ty Musk led from the first end in a solid win.

In the Tens League, Connaught won 89-35 and 4-0 at home to Thorpe Marriott. Pairs: W Adcock 20-10, R Oatway 16-13. Triples: R Wells 33-2, L Fallows 20-10. Ray Wells, Diana Adcock and Peter King lost only two ends in a massive win.
